Thank you to resident that posted about upcoming meeting and changes to covenants! I looked at current covenants and am also interested to see what changes will be proposed at the meeting! I had missed reading the 11/14 post so your post was a great reminder!
Hi. Is there going to be an opportunity to review the proposed changes? We’re not a HOA now or anything like that are we? I can’t remember voting to become one and the old Lake Association president explained that we were not one. Lawyers? Revised covenants? Please forward any changes made behind the scenes for everyone to see. Thanks in advance.

Same here. I would like to see any proposed covenants. For all the years I have lived here there was only adamant statements that we have ONLY a lake association covenants and NOT property owner covenants. Any proposed covenants need to be approved by the lake association members.
Several interesting points I ask my neighbors to consider. I feel as if many changes affecting our homes are taking place without our knowledge/input.
1. Last summer, several people met, drafted a covenant and passed it to a lawyer and we are now a property owners association (HOA).
2. A Meeting was held in November that was unannounced. An apology was given with the promise of docs for us to vote on withon a week. Docs still pending
3. We were told today that more changes were needed to the documents and not to worry and we didn’t have to vote at the next meeting (17 Dec). No suspense for release of the docs given.
4. A post by a boardmember states that these changes will give us more control of our property. Most will agree that HOAs place much control of your property in the hands of the board.
