Several interesting points I ask my neighbors to consider. I feel as if many changes affecting our homes are taking place without our knowledge/input.
1. Last summer, several people met, drafted a covenant, and passed it to a lawyer and we are now a property owners association (HOA).
2. A Meeting was held in November that was unannounced. An apology was given with the promise of docs for us to vote on within a week. Docs still pending.
3. We were told today that more changes were needed to the documents, not to worry and we didn’t have to vote at the next meeting (17 Dec). No suspense for release of the docs given.
4. A post by a boardmember states that these changes will give us more control of our property. Most will agree that HOAs place much control of your property in the hands of the board.
5. Scarborough Cove residents are the driving force behind the HOA push although some on Suncrest want this as well. This is important because we are different neighborhoods and demographics.
6. If you wanted to live under an HOA, you could have bought a home in one. Did you vote for this HOA and board?
