Goodbye to you two – Tom and Katherine

Our neighbors, Tom and Katherine Owens of 32 Twelve Oaks Dr, are heading out to Kiawah Island and it is time to wish them all the best in their new home.

Thank you two for the help as a board member and caretaker of the lake.  Katherine, your kayak trips around the lake to clean up the debris and Tom, your stint as treasurer and board member for many years were such valuable contributions to our lake.  You will be missed, but we know that you will continue to live the Island life on Kiawah.   Take care and best wishes to our friends!

Tom shared this with me before they left.  I wanted to share it with you.

While this move is bittersweet, we are excited to embrace this new
chapter in our lives.

In closing, we want to thank the Lake Management leadership and staff
for their exceptional stewardship over the past 40 years. We’ve deeply
enjoyed our time here, and we pray that your legacy continues—keeping
property values strong and preserving the pristine beauty of the lake
for swimmers, paddle boarders, kayakers, boaters, and fishermen alike.

May your lives always be enriched by the calm and serenity of Talahi
Lake—Savannah’s Best Kept Secret.
