Comments Collection from our Talahi Lake and Scarborough Members

Hi, Lake Members,

Thanks to all the members that came to the Annual Meeting.  We do want to hear your comments, questions and concerns about the upcoming vote on adopting the Proposed Amended Talahi Lake Property Owners Association, Inc. documents.

Please send your emails to me at renee@talahilake.com starting now until January 1st.  That way it gives us time to record and organize each comment, question or concern.  Please include your name, address, and email.

Happy Holidays to all!

  • I support neighbors sending their concerns directly to the Board, but I also believe this forum is an appropriate place for owners to share their views so they can be read, considered, and discussed openly. The Board made a major decision and spent a substantial amount of neighborhood funds to draft new documents without first gathering input from the lake owners. Transparent discussion is necessary to ensure decisions reflect the will of the neighborhood, not just a small group. Also, how has the board notified and kept every neighbor informed other than submitting a post on this forum? Not every single property owner is on this website and registered to received these notices. My neighbor had no idea any of this was going on because they did not know the neighborhood had a website to register and receive posts from. I intend to help her get registered but I think a few notes should go into mailboxes if a neighborhood wide change is trying to be enforced.

  • Joshua,
Dave and Mary are on the website. They have a joint email address. They would be getting the posts, unless their inbox if full or it is in spam. I have not received any delivery errors from the website.

  • A pubic comment section, similar to the comments allowed on our posts, does not get comments from those you are not wanting to go public. I already have heard from several lake neighbors that have not responded before. We want their comments too. Also, it is important to have positive and negative comments.
